Uganda Implements 21-Day Quarantine for Travelers from DR Congo Due to Ebola Concerns

Uganda has implemented a 21-day quarantine for travelers returning from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) as a precaution against Ebola. Health Minister Chris Baryomunsi announced this measure today, emphasizing that Uganda is currently Ebola-free. He noted that all 60 contacts related to a Kenyan Ebola case have completed their monitoring period and were discharged. Enhanced screening measures are now in place at Entebbe International Airport and all land border crossings, with all travelers required to fill out a passenger locator form.
