Ministry of Education Launches Nationwide Screening of Inclusive Education Module via PRASHAST
The Department of School Education & Literacy, part of the Ministry of Education, conducted a nationwide screening of a 30-minute module on Inclusive Education for Children with Special Needs on October 8, 2026. Over 60,000 schools participated in this initiative, which aims to enhance understanding among teachers and school staff about the needs of children with special needs. The module, available in 12 Indian languages, employs practical examples and interactive activities to foster a supportive school environment. This effort is part of a broader campaign that has already sensitized more than 72 lakh teachers over the past three months through the PRASHAST digital tool.
