Shilp Samagam Mela 2026 Starts Tomorrow in Guwahati
The 8 Days Shilp Samagam Mela 2026 will commence in Guwahati, Assam, tomorrow, organized by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The event will feature 75 artisans, including 31 women, showcasing around 40 varieties of handloom and handicraft products. Open to the public from 11 A.M. to 9 P.M. at Farm Gate, Khanapara, the Mela aims to promote market access and sustainable livelihoods for artisans from Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, Safai Mitras, and Denotified Tribes. This initiative highlights India's rich cultural heritage and provides artisans a platform to connect directly with potential customers.
