NISD to Host Five-Day Geriatric Care Training in Diu Starting Tomorrow
The National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) will launch a five-day Geriatric Care Training Programme in Diu District starting tomorrow. This initiative, organized in collaboration with the local administration, aims to enhance the skills of approximately 50 Anganwadi Workers and frontline functionaries in providing care for senior citizens. The programme will be inaugurated by Shri Sudhansh Pant, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, who will also lead a pledge for the welfare of senior citizens. The training is designed to strengthen community support systems and improve the early identification of care needs for the elderly.
