Transitioning from Limited Income to Greater Financial Security

Shri Tadikonda Rambabu, a 40-year-old Safai Karamchari from the Scheduled Caste community, has improved his financial stability through the Swachhta Udyami Yojana (SUY) launched under the NAMASTE framework. Since working with the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation on an outsourcing basis since 2016, he faced challenges in supporting his family, which includes two sons, due to limited income and social discrimination. The SUY provides targeted financial assistance and sanitation-related equipment to help individuals like Rambabu achieve self-reliance and generate sustainable livelihoods. This initiative aims to enhance the economic security and dignity of Safai Karamcharis, contributing to better educational opportunities for their families.
