Ministry of Cooperation introduces Audit Reporting Framework to enhance transparency in Multi-State Cooperatives
The Ministry of Cooperation has mandated a new Audit Reporting Framework for Multi-State Cooperative Societies, aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and governance. This initiative, guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision and led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, introduces the Multi-State Co-operative Societies (Auditor’s Report) Order, 2026. The framework will standardize audit reporting, enabling early detection of financial issues and ensuring compliance with governance requirements. Implementation will occur in phases to allow societies time to adapt their systems and processes accordingly.
