TDB and ideaForge sign ₹151 crore deal to develop YETI heavy-lift drone
The Technology Development Board (TDB) of India's Ministry of Science & Technology has signed a ₹151 crore agreement with ideaForge Technology Limited to support the development of the YETI heavy-lift autonomous aerial logistics vehicle. This project, which has a total cost of ₹302 crore, aims to advance the vehicle's technology from Technology Readiness Level (TRL)-4 to TRL-9. YETI is designed to transport payloads of up to 200 kg over a range of 200 km, addressing logistics challenges in difficult operational environments. The financial support will be provided through debt financing to enhance India's capabilities in autonomous aerial systems and next-generation logistics.
