Consumer Price Index for September 2026 Released, Base Year 2024=100
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation reported that the retail inflation rate in India for September 2026, based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) with a base year of 2024, is 5.54% year-on-year. The food inflation rate, derived from the Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI), stands at 7.74% for the same month.
