IITM Holds Inaugural Stakeholder Meeting on Climate Science Services for India Forum
The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) hosted the inaugural Stakeholder Consultation Meeting for the Climate Science into Services for India Forum (CSSIF) on October 17, 2026, in Pune. The meeting aimed to bridge the gap between climate science and practical services to enhance policy-relevant information and decision-making. Participants included over 150 representatives from more than 80 institutions, encompassing government, research, and academic sectors. Technical sessions addressed various themes, including health impacts of climate extremes and the necessity for a Climate Services Information System (CSIS) in India.
