September 2026 Provisional Wholesale and Producer Price Indexes Released, July 2026 Final Index Confirmed
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry reported that the All India Wholesale Price Index (WPI) inflation for September 2026 reached 11.39 percent year-on-year, an increase from 9.92 percent in August 2026. The WPI for all commodities rose to 112.5 in September, up from 110.8 the previous month. Major groups such as Primary Articles, Fuel and Power, and Manufactured Products showed inflation rates of 8.67 percent, 25.85 percent, and 9.76 percent, respectively, compared to lower rates in August. The indices for these groups also increased, indicating significant price changes in key sectors of the economy.
