Five Dead in Explosion at Illegal Firecracker Factory in Bihar's Siwan

Five people died in an explosion at an illegal firecracker manufacturing site in a house in Alampur village, Siwan district, Bihar, last evening. The blast caused the collapse of a two-storey building and involved a firecracker trader, his family, and two workers. Siwan Superintendent of Police Bharat Soni announced the formation of a special investigative team led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Maharajganj. In response to the incident, Jamo police station in-charge Dhiraj Kumar and a police chowkidar have been suspended for alleged negligence.
