Telangana Government Urges All Network Hospitals to Join PM RAHAT Scheme

The Telangana government has urged all network hospitals to enroll in the PM RAHAT scheme, which provides prompt treatment for road accident victims. Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju conducted a video conference with district officials to emphasize the importance of timely medical care, particularly within the "golden hour," where victims can receive treatment worth up to one and a half lakh rupees. Currently, only 469 out of over one thousand hospitals participating in the Aarogyasri scheme have joined PM RAHAT, prompting Jaju to instruct collectors to ensure full enrollment. He highlighted that the scheme could facilitate treatment worth at least one hundred crore rupees annually and alleviate pressure on the existing Aarogyasri program.
