Cabinet Approves 78-Day Productivity Linked Bonus for Railway Employees
The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) for 78 days, amounting to Rs.2009.61 crore, for over 11.4 lakh railway employees. This decision recognizes the excellent performance of the Railway staff during the 2025-26 fiscal year, which included record cargo loading and passenger numbers. The bonus will be distributed before the Durga Puja/Dusshera holidays, with eligible employees receiving a maximum of Rs.17,951. The PLB serves as an incentive to further motivate railway employees in their efforts to enhance operational performance.
