MEA Aids Early Return of Stranded Umrah Pilgrims from Saudi Arabia

The Indian External Affairs Ministry announced that the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate in Jeddah are working to facilitate the early return of stranded Umrah pilgrims from Saudi Arabia. Over the past week, approximately three thousand pilgrims have successfully returned to India, in addition to more than ten thousand who were already booked on available flights. The Ministry is coordinating with airlines and tour operators to ensure the return of additional pilgrims as soon as possible. To assist Indian nationals, 24×7 Control Rooms have been established, and community volunteers are providing welfare support amid ongoing flight disruptions.
