TRAI Evaluates Mobile Network Quality in Fazilka and Surrounding Areas of Punjab
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in August 2026 to evaluate mobile network quality in Fazilka city and surrounding areas. The assessment aimed to measure key Quality of Service (QoS) parameters such as coverage, call drop rates, and data throughput from various Telecom Service Providers (TSPs). This drive test involved extensive data collection through live sessions using SIM cards from all TSPs across multiple network generations, including 2G to 5G. The findings will be published to inform consumers and motivate TSPs to enhance their service quality.
