PM Ajay Promotes Inclusive Development with Adarsh Grams and Educational Initiatives
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has declared 18,093 villages as Adarsh Grams under the Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojana (PM-AJAY) as of September 8, 2026. This initiative aims to enhance infrastructure and services in Scheduled Caste-majority villages, benefiting over 47.79 lakh citizens nationwide. The program has completed 46,944 development projects and prepared 27,032 Village Development Plans. A senior official emphasized that these model villages are designed to ensure access to basic services and reduce disparities within the community.
