Financial Support Now, Self-Reliance Expected in Future

Ms. Manikala Durga, a 39-year-old waste picker from the Scheduled Tribe community in Guntur, received financial assistance to enhance her livelihood. This support was provided under the Swachhta Udyami Yojana through the Navajeevan Organisation, enabling her and three others to procure a De-Silting Machine for open drain cleaning. Previously, Ms. Durga earned about Rs. 8,000 per month from waste-picking, which was insufficient for her family's needs. The financial aid aims to promote economic self-reliance and improve the living conditions of individuals from disadvantaged communities.
