Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan Inaugurates Project Seabird Infrastructure

Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan inaugurated new infrastructure for the Indian Navy's Project Seabird at Naval Base Karwar on October 15, 2026. The project includes residential accommodations for Defence Civilians, a Station Health Organisation Complex, and enhancements to the existing INHS Patanjali hospital, expanding its capacity to 409 beds. Additional facilities such as a water reservoir, sewage treatment plant, and a solid waste management system were also introduced to support the growing demands of the naval base. This development is part of the ongoing Phase IIA of Project Seabird, which aims to improve naval capabilities and infrastructure in the region.
