NISD Completes Five-Day Geriatric Caregivers Training in Diu
The National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) successfully concluded a five-day Geriatric Caregivers Training Programme in Diu, aimed at enhancing community-based elderly care. The program, held at the Government Education Hub, trained 56 women participants, including family caregivers and frontline workers, in essential caregiving skills. It was inaugurated on October 9 by Shri Sudhansh Pant, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, who highlighted the significance of compassionate caregiving. The initiative seeks to promote the dignity, safety, and well-being of senior citizens in the region.
