Bureau of Indian Standards Hosts Nationwide Sessions to Promote AYUSH Quality Standards
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) organized two national events to promote standardization in Ayurveda, Yoga, and Sowa-Rigpa, engaging over 600 experts and industry leaders. These sessions aimed to enhance safety, patient care, and international acceptance of India's traditional medicine systems. The first event, PRAGATI 2026, took place in Belagavi, Karnataka, in collaboration with local academic institutions. Ms. Shrishti Dixit from BIS emphasized the importance of formulating Indian Standards to strengthen the AYUSH sector and boost consumer trust.
