Nepal's T20 cricket tournament kicks off with eight franchises vying for the title.
The third season of the Nepal Premier League, a franchise-based T20 cricket tournament, commenced today at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Eight franchises are competing for the title, with the opening match featuring the defending champions Lumbini Lions against last season's runners-up Sudurpaschim Royals. This season is significant due to the tournament's recognition by the International Cricket Council and the introduction of the Decision Review System for challenging umpiring decisions. Notable international players participating include former Australian captain David Warner and West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell.
