The National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students (NFSC) Scheme has provided crucial financial support to Dr. Chetana Regar from Rajsamand, Rajasthan, enabling her to pursue her Ph.D. studies. Dr. Regar, 32, faced significant financial challenges and family pressure that complicated her academic ambitions before receiving the fellowship in November 2020. The NFSC assistance, which included fellowship support, housing allowance, and contingency funds, alleviated these burdens and allowed her to focus on her research. Dr. Regar emphasized that without this support, her pursuit of a doctoral degree would not have been feasible.
