Indian Business Sentiment Reportedly Improved in Second Quarter of Fiscal Year

Indian business sentiment showed significant improvement in the July-September quarter, with the Business Confidence Index rising to 107.8 from 99.8, according to a survey by the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER). Conducted in September among 502 firms across six cities, the survey indicated positive trends in all four indicators of business confidence. Notably, the proportion of firms expecting better economic conditions in the next six months increased to 50 percent, while those with a favorable view of the investment climate rose to 30 percent. The findings suggest a broad-based recovery, benefiting both micro, small, and medium enterprises as well as large firms.
