Global Initiative on AI for Agri-Food Systems Meets at IMC 2026 in New Delhi
The Second Meeting of the Global Initiative on AI for Agri-Food Systems (GI-AI4FS) took place on October 10, 2026, in New Delhi, hosted by the Ministry of Communications alongside the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026. This meeting focused on the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to enhance agri-food systems. Approximately 70 delegates attended in person, with an additional 25 participants joining online, representing various sectors including international organizations and agricultural research institutions. The initiative is coordinated by the International Telecommunication Union in collaboration with several UN agencies, aiming to foster global cooperation in agricultural technology.
