National Human Rights Commission of India to Mark 33rd Foundation Day on October 12, 2026
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India will celebrate its 33rd Foundation Day on October 12, 2026, at Vigyan Bhawan. Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, will be the Chief Guest at the event, which will also feature NHRC Chairperson Justice V. Ramasubramanian and other dignitaries. Over its 33-year history, the NHRC has registered more than 24 lakh cases and recommended significant relief for victims of human rights violations. The celebration will include a National Conference focused on the importance of water rights in advancing human dignity.
