Prime Minister Launches Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) for Farmers

The Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) celebrates its first anniversary on October 11, 2026, after being launched by the Prime Minister on October 11, 2025. This initiative aims to transform agriculture in 100 Aspirational Agricultural Districts by addressing challenges such as low productivity, inadequate irrigation, and limited access to credit. Approved by the Union Cabinet on July 16, 2025, PMDDKY focuses on district-specific interventions to enhance agricultural development. The program is set to run for six years, starting from the 2025-26 agricultural year, to unlock the full potential of these regions.
