Women Comprise 43% of Ayush Services Workforce, Surpassing 50% in Key Segments
Women represent 43% of the overall workforce in the Ayush services sector, with their participation exceeding 50% in hospitals, day-care centres, educational institutes, and wellness establishments. This data was highlighted in a recent assessment and indicates a significant trend towards female employment in this field. The Ayush services economy, which includes Ayurveda, Yoga, and other traditional practices, is valued at approximately $36.92 billion for FY2024-25 and supports around 1.76 million livelihoods.
