Ministry of Education Forms Committee to Investigate Student Death at IIIT Ranchi
The Ministry of Education has formed a three-member committee to investigate the recent death of a student at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Ranchi. The committee, chaired by Prof. Rajni Abbi from the University of Delhi, includes a senior psychiatrist and a senior officer from the Ministry. It is tasked with examining the circumstances of the incident, assessing the implementation of guidelines related to student support systems, and identifying any systemic gaps. The Ministry is also making interim arrangements to ensure the effective functioning of the institute during this period.
