Sangita Bhutada's Rangoli Design Featured on US Diwali Commemorative Stamp

The US Postal Service has unveiled a Diwali commemorative stamp featuring a rangoli design by Houston-based artist Sangita Bhutada. The stamp was launched at a ceremony on October 10 at the Indian Embassy in Washington, attended by India's Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, and USPS Senior Vice President Shibani Gambhir. Bhutada, who has been practicing rangoli for nearly 30 years, took about 10 days to create the eight-foot design, which showcases vibrant colors. This marks the second Diwali stamp issued by the USPS, following the first release in 2016.
