CAQM Reviews Compliance and Enforcement Actions in NCR; 124 Inspections Conducted from Sept 25 to Oct 9, 2026
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) conducted 124 inspections across the National Capital Region (NCR) from September 25 to October 9, 2026, during its 141st Enforcement Task Force meeting on October 16, 2026. The inspections focused on construction and demolition sites, industrial sectors, and diesel generator sets, resulting in 55 reported violations. Proposed enforcement actions include the closure of two construction projects and three industrial units, sealing 12 units, and issuing compliance orders in several cases. The CAQM has directed its Flying Squads to prioritize inspections of Red and Orange category industries to enhance compliance efforts.
