Seasonal Workers Transitioning to Self-Reliance
Shri Santosh Kumar from Gosainganj Block in Lucknow has transitioned from seasonal agricultural work to self-employment with the help of a ₹3 lakh loan from the National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC). Previously, he struggled to support his family on an annual income of ₹70,000 to ₹80,000 and lacked the financial means to start his own business despite having driving skills. The loan allowed him to purchase an auto-rickshaw, enabling him to generate a stable income. This case highlights how financial assistance can empower individuals to achieve economic self-reliance and improve their livelihoods.
